A wonderful visit

Our sweet friends from Indiana came to visit family and friends. We were so blessed to be able to have them for a fun day of catching up since they moved away almost 2 years ago. We ate lunch, went downtown to some antique shops, then to the Rio buffet. Here we are on our way out of the buffet at the end of our visit. We will miss them again and look forward to another reunion hopefully in 2009 =).... We love you Stark Family. xoxoxoxo

Mattie Loves Sammy

My little sweethearts. This is in the swing hanging from our playroom ceiling. Sam is doing so great. All of the therapy and love has really paid off. When we got the diagnosis of Autism, we didn't know what to expect. As I read books, watched videos and webinars, and asked a zillion questions of many therapists and doctors, we knew what a picture of the worst case scenario could be. We were fortunate to have the diagnosis earlier than so many which allowed us to start working on therapies that we hoped would help him. I marvel at him every day as he says new things and seems to have less of a need for the quirky behaviors that help him cope. We are BIG advocates of early intervention and are so blessed by the many that have been so faithful to help us find our little fella somewhere in that sweet little body.

Little Mattie too. She is growing healthy and strong (willed) LOL. The doctors say they no longer need to monitor her so closely and that she should have a typical life. She is quite behind verbally, but wow that girl can get her point across. =) She is so loving and sweet and just lives to kiss and hug all day. She sure has softened this house of boys. Mattie has been blessed with the early intervention team for the last couple of years too. She graduates on her 3rd birthday, which is tomorrow.
