Mattie's heart

Here's my little trooper getting her heart check up. Her patch has held wonderfully and the enlargement is completely gone. However, during the ultrasound the doctor saw a blockage in the main (aortic) valve. She explained that this is a common problem in kids that have had the ASD repair. We will follow up in 6 months to see if the blockage is larger and make sure that the blood flow is still 100%. If it grows, she will need another surgery. Pray with us that it wont be necessary. Our sweet little girl has been through so much with her health. What a miracle she is.

Tax Day Tea Party

What a beautiful day it was. The sun came out and the breeze kept us just cool enough. Here is our own Benjamin Franklin here with an important message =).. There were about 2500 people at Sunset Park with us demonstrating our frustration with the out of control spending of the government. There were so many clever signs and great people. This was what we call "the ultimate school day".

Here are two homeschool families and between us we have 11 kids who understand what we were doing out there and are grateful we live in America where we can voice our concerns in this way and how it will affect their futures if this poor government continues. You were great Mesinar family.

We need to pray for America and all that so many have died for.

We all enjoyed dying our own chicken's eggs from the flock Kasey has raised.

They are all brown eggs naturally, but really colored nicely.

Here's the fab 5 posing and giggling. I believe my children's laughter is one of the most beautiful sounds I know (after my love telling me he loves me)..

Michael ate a 1 pound burger with a bunch of toppings and got his photo on the Wall of Shame. Not hard to believe if you have ever stood next to his largeness.

Roasting marshmallows on the porch is a favorite evening activity.

Bobbing for apples is so much fun. I'm blessed that my kitchen is done and so wonderful to use for our family and to entertain large groups.
